BRGY. SUN VALLEY

INTRODUCTION

Welcome! We are Junior students from De La Salle Zobel that are tasked to do an integrated project with the following subjects: Algebra, Computer Education, Geometry, Physical Education, Science, Social Studies, and TLE. We hope that the people from Sun Valley would benefit from our project.

Parañaque is the third largest city in the NCR region which has a land area of 46.57 kilometers squared. The city is subdivided into 16 Barangays, including Barangay Sun Valley. This Barangay was created under Presidential Decree No. 1326 dated April 13, 1978. Situated at the heart of Parañaque, it has been awarded the most outstanding Barangay among the 16. This is due to handling their budget of allocation and budget transparency very well for the past 2 years.

Barangay Sun Valley is an urbanized community that consists of many factories, businesses and establishments that contribute to the growth of the city. Despite this, just like other developing communities, Barangay Sun Valley also experiences certain problems - namely having a higher rate of informal settlers, fires, flooding due to typhoons, road congestion, and pollution. This community profile aims to efficiently collect data in order to inform the people of the current situation in the barangay. This can help the officials from the barangay and the government have a record of everything so that they can effectively change their disaster mitigation and management of Villa Paraiso and Sun Valley, Parañaque easily.

OBJECTIVES

• To show the public a better alternative or solution towards improving the lifestyle and development of citizens that live in Barangay Sun Valley.

• To show our creation which can help in assuring the safety of a  community from natural disaster that are common in the Philippines.

• To be inform people of the possible alternatives and solutions from common problems that occur in communities.

• This teaches on how problems in these areas can be solved with lessons that are taught in schools.

•  To promote preparedness from disasters.

• To promote innovation of new inventions that help the community.
